Worldwide NGO Targeting of Companies and Sectors

These datasets quantify tracking in real time of campaigning by NGOs, activists and advocacy groups from across the world, particularly their criticism and praise of named corporate entities and sectors on ESG-related issues. Data relating to corporate entities is indexed by ISIN, ticker and other corporate identifiers. Data relating to industry sectors is indexed by proprietary codes which map to NAICS classifications. Data relating to issues is indexed by a proprietary taxonomy which maps to SASB, SDG and other systems. Historic data back to beginning of 2011.

The Snowflake Marketplace allows you to access live, ready-to-query data and data services. This lookup table is available for all Snowflake customers and can be used to experiment with accessing data from the Marketplace.

Tables included:
- Targeted Corporates: updates of NGO activity for named companies, subsidiaries, brands and projects, captured during the previous 24 hours (week days).
- Targeted Sectors: Daily updates of NGO activity for named industry sectors, captured during the previous 24 hours (week days).

Fields included:
- Target corporate entity descriptors: name, country location, parent entity (if different), ISINs, Ticker, FIGI of target/parent entity, HQ country, industry sector(s) with SIGWATCH codes.
- Target industry sectors: SIGWATCH taxonomy name and code.
- NGO descriptors: name, country, and power rating of active NGOs (up to 5).
- NGO activity event data: sentiment and prominence of targeting, active countries, target countries, summary description of event, primary source weblink(s), most pertinent issues (2), most pertinent topics (up to 5).

Source: Data is sourced from public, non-copyrighted web and social media outputs of over 10,000 campaigning NGOs across every significant economy. Updated every weekday.
