The Multi-Codec DASH Dataset was jointly developed by Petrozavodsk State University and Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt to facilitate interoperability testing and streaming experiments for diverse video codecs. The dataset encompasses four mainstream codecs: AVC, HEVC, VP9, and AV1, covering a comprehensive range of bitrate and resolution configurations spanning from low to high tiers, alongside fundamental quality metrics. Advanced encoding and packaging options were utilized throughout the dataset's development, ensuring that it can effectively support multi-codec compatibility for Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) clients. This dataset is primarily deployed in HTTP adaptive streaming services, addressing critical challenges regarding video coding efficiency and quality across varied device and network conditions.
