Klebsiella pneumoniae is a globally important opportunistic pathogen, and its emergence in food products raises One Health concerns, yet genomic data on food-derived isolates in Egypt remain limited. Here, K. pneumoniae isolates recovered from ready-to-consume foods in Egyptian supermarkets (milk, yogurt, and catfish) were identified by MALDI-TOF MS and confirmed by whole-genome sequencing. Antimicrobial susceptibility was assessed by broth microdilution, and WGS data were used for in silico characterization of sequence types, resistomes, virulomes, plasmid replicons, and SNP-based phylogenetic relationships. These data support genome-informed surveillance to better understand the epidemiology and public-health relevance of foodborne K. pneumoniae in Egypt.
