Theoretical and Practical Significance of the Linguistic Analysis of the Phenomenon of "Courage" in the Semantic Field of "Spirituality"

The present article investigates the linguistic representation of the phenomenon of “courage” within the semantic field of “spirituality” from comparative and cognitive linguistic perspectives. The study explores how the concept of courage functions as a moral, cultural, and spiritual category in English and Uzbek linguistic traditions. By applying discourse analysis, semantic field theory, conceptual metaphor theory, and comparative linguistic methods, the research identifies the lexical, conceptual, and cultural features associated with courage in literary and communicative discourse. The findings demonstrate that courage is not only an emotional or behavioral characteristic but also a culturally embedded moral-spiritual value reflected through language. The theoretical significance of the study lies in expanding the understanding of moral-spiritual lexicon and semantic field theory, while the practical significance includes applications in translation studies, intercultural communication, language teaching, and discourse analysis.
