Modeling dataset on <i>Biomphalaria</i> spp. snail hosts in sub-Saharain Africa (Uganda, DRC and Chad): snail occurrence, environmental, geomorphological, and detection variables

This dataset contains visit-level presence/absence records of Biomphalaria spp. collected through three citizen science networks in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Chad. It includes repeated observations from freshwater human water-contact sites, along with associated metadata relevant to detection and analysis, such as date, time, observer information, site delineation, and linked environmental covariates. Because the data were generated through community-based monitoring across contrasting ecological settings, users should account for uneven sampling effort, strong between-site heterogeneity, class imbalance, and context-specific relationships when using the dataset for inference or prediction.
