Holding him is Warren S. Wooster, scientific head of expedition, which found great mountain under sea, thousands of strange fish and other curiosities on 14,580 mile 'Shellback' operation. 'Porky' grabbed three other porcupine fish, shook them until they are about to fall apart. They are being fed sulpha drugs at the institution. 68/S: Dr. Carl Hubbs, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, holds a 'gulper' fish, its mouth is 100 times area of its skull. Specimen brought up on Institution research ship Horizon's 14,580 mile equatorial cruise. 67/S: Hey, Boy! This female Death Mask fish (first ever found) lures victims with tiny light above her mouth. Cotton has been placed in eye sockets to show location - sockets not used in anyway, nature puts Death Masks's pinpoint eyes outside sockets on fish's cheek! Male Death Mask bites into female's flesh, stays there all his life, her and his blood circulation becoming as one. Odd fish found 2/3 mi. down, 1200 m. West of Acapulco".
