Effect and Influence of Driver, Roadway and Environment Factors to Drivers' Behavior when Vehicles Make Turn at Intersections

Project Description This dataset was created in support of one of the winners in the "Student Paper Competition: SHRP 2 Safety Data Bonanza" sponsored by the SHRP 2 Safety Data Program and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee for Use and Oversight of SHRP 2 Safety Data, Phase 1. This dataset consisted of turning crash and near-crash events. Data Request Scope Crash and near-crash events (Left Turn, Right Turn and U-turn) were selected for a total of 398 events. Data Specification Time series data. The time series data includes: Front videos GPS Speed Vehicle Network Speed Acceleration, x-axis Acceleration, y-axis Pedal Accelerator Position Pedal, Brake Status Turn Signal Event Table: All variables.
