Methods
Slope was measured using a hand held clinometer and aspect was measured using Suunto sighting compass. The location of each of the corners of the plots were measured using a Trimble GPS with <1 m accuracy and the centroid of each polygon calculated. Elevations are averages of the elevations of the corner plots.
