We hypothesized that CDI changes the gut microbiota of patients with UC. In this study, we aimed to characterize the gut microbiota in patients with UC and CDI. We analyzed and compared the gut microbial structure in fecal samples between healthy controls and patients with UC, and between patients with UC with and without CDI using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
