Dataset description This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Conceptual Ambiguity in Forest Acclimation to Climate Change: A Critical Review." Data collection A systematic literature search was conducted using Web of Science with the search terms “acclimation” AND (“forest” OR “tree”) in the title, covering publications from 2000 to 2025. Studies were included if they: (1) used measurable indicators to explicitly quantify or assess acclimation responses; (2) included field studies, controlled environment experiments, or observational data; and (3) focused on trees or forest ecosystems. The final dataset includes 130 studies.
