资源简介:
This study explores the efficacy of transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) in mitigating dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis and associated behavioral abnormalities in mice. TUS treatment significantly reduced colon inflammation and tissue damage while improving histological scores. Additionally, TUS alleviated anxiety- and depression-like behaviors, possibly by suppressing neuroinflammation via the downregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines in both the colon and the brain. These findings suggest TUS as a promising non-invasive therapy for managing gut inflammation and associated behavioral disorders, highlighting its potential clinical implications. There are four groups: Sham, DSS, DSS+LIPUS 0.5W, and DSS+LIPUS 1.0W. Sham group are the animals with no treatment. DSS group are animals were treated with DSS. DSS+LIPUS groups are animals treated DSS and LIPUS (0.5W/1.0W).
