The underlying changes in the gene expression patterns in growing placenta and the spatial transcriptomics differences in full term placenta are unknown. The purpose of the study was to generate reference gene expression map of first (T1), second (T2) and third (T3) trimester human placenta using bulk RNA-sequencing approach. We also aim to study the differences in transcriptome in maternal versus fetal side tissues sections of full-term placenta.
