The flowering phenology is regulated by seasonal temperature changes, and it has been observed to shift in response to global warming. The aim of this project is to conduct a comprehensive exploration of the genes that contribute to shifts in flowering phenology under a warming climate. To achieve this goal, we have conducted a thorough analysis of the seasonal gene expression dynamics of Arabidopsis halleri subsp. gemmifera at three transplanted sites of varying latitudes in Japan: a cold-temperature site (Sendai), a warm-temperature site (Fukuoka), and a subtropical site (Iriomote Island).
