FORMATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF TYPOLOGY OF INTERNATIONAL SYSTEMS IN NICHOLSON'S AND KAPLAN'S THEORIES

This article analyzes the typology of international systems developed by Michael Nicholson and Morton A. Kaplan, who play an important role in the theory of international relations. In the field of international relations, it is often not enough to explain relations between states through individual events, since each political decision, military conflict, or diplomatic agreement is formed and develops within the framework of a specific international system. Therefore, the study of international relations based on the concept of "international system" is of great scientific importance. The article provides a comparative analysis of the content and essence of the theories of Nicholson and Kaplan, the principles of the formation of international systems, and the criteria for their classification. The theoretical and practical significance of these approaches in understanding modern international relations is also highlighted.
