Pectobacterium brasiliense strain:PCC1 Genome sequencing

Lettuce is a major crop cultivated in Trinidad and it has exhibited the symptoms of soft rot disease recently. The causal agent is often confused between Pectobacterium and Dickeya. The whole genome sequencing project was undertaken to confirm the pathogen causing soft rot disease. The precise identification of the causal agent is important to develop the management strategies.
