Pseudomonas sp. WP18 was isolated from a disease suppressive soil patch in the Mississippi Delta. This disease suppressive soil patch was associated with charcoal rot of soybean plants. The goal of this study is to find potential microbial candidates for biopesticide development. The development of new biopesticides helps lead our agricultural practices to be more sustainable and environmentally-friendly.
