U.S. Democratic Campaign Outreach — Institutional Response Dataset v1.0
收藏资源简介:
Description This dataset documents an independent citizen-auditing initiative conducted by YAZARGAN ORGANIZATION, focusing on institutional communication, democratic accountability, and public engagement with political campaign organizations in the United States. The project records an individual research initiative involving congratulatory and research-introduction emails sent to Democratic campaign organizations following electoral victories. The correspondence introduces Citizen Auditing and the Algorithmic Accountability and Audit Protocol (AAAP) as open, research-oriented methodologies intended to support transparency, institutional observation, informed citizen participation, and accountability. The dataset includes: 1. A register of 30 campaign contact email addresses used in the outreach process.2. The standard outreach message introducing Citizen Auditing and AAAP.3. Four automated acknowledgement messages received from campaign organizations.4. A comparative classification of acknowledgement practices, including stated response expectations and inbox-monitoring information.5. A preliminary institutional response coding framework distinguishing automated acknowledgement, human response, substantive response, and institutional action. Research Methodology The documentation follows a longitudinal citizen-auditing sequence: OBSERVE → RECORD → PUBLISH → NOTIFY → ACKNOWLEDGE → RESPOND → VERIFY → COMPARE → LEARN The purpose is to examine how institutional communication can be documented, structured, compared, and preserved as research evidence over time. Scope and Limitations This is an initial descriptive dataset, not a representative survey of political campaign organizations. The four acknowledgement messages document automated or standardized receipt notifications; they do not establish that a staff member substantively reviewed the research proposal, that an organization endorsed the initiative, or that any collaboration was accepted. The contact addresses are reproduced from the researcher's outreach register and have not all been independently verified for current validity or official status. Complete original email headers, SMTP delivery records, and exact transmission timestamps were not available for this version. Research Significance The dataset demonstrates a practical approach to transforming individual institutional correspondence into structured, transparent, and potentially longitudinal research evidence. It advances the principle that documenting institutional communication is not exclusively an institutional responsibility. Citizens and independent researchers can also contribute to the public record through accurate, consistent, and reproducible documentation. This dataset is published to support open research, methodological discussion, democratic accountability studies, and future comparative research into institutional communication practices.
