PHONETICS AND PRONUNCIATION CHALLENGES IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

Phonetics plays a central role in language acquisition as it deals with the production, transmission, and perception of speech sounds. Despite its importance, many language learners struggle with pronunciation, which affects communication and confidence. This paper aims to analyze the main phonetic and pronunciation difficulties encountered by learners and to propose effective strategies for overcoming them. The study is based on qualitative analysis, including observation and review of relevant literature. The findings suggest that consistent practice, exposure to authentic materials, and the use of modern technologies can significantly improve pronunciation skills.
