CHIR IS2 data summer campaign July 26 2022
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains coincident ICESat-2 observations of summer Arctic sea ice, drift-corrected to match airborne obersvations to evaluate ICESat-2 ATL07 surface classification and sea surface reference determination under melt conditions. The ICESat-2 data are ATL07 (release 006) sea ice height segments that have been drift-corrected and coregistered to the airborne swath: each NetCDF file contains the segments for one flight leg and beam pair, with the applied ice drift offset and the resulting Chiroptera–ICESat-2 height correlation encoded in the filename (e.g., corr_083_d3105 denotes r = 0.83 at a 3105 m drift offset). Each file includes the shifted segment coordinates, along-track distance, ATL07 segment heights, mean Chiroptera lidar height within each segment footprint, the ATL07 segment type and sea surface height flag, photon rate, and the Chiroptera lidar points mapped to each segment. The analysis is described in: Buckley, E. M., Kacimi, S., Webster, W., Harrison, S., Saylam, K., Kurtz, N. T., Tilling, R. L. (2026). First Assessment of ICESat-2 Summer Sea Ice Freeboard with Airborne Validation.
