资源简介:
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of detecting amphibian species using eDNA shotgun metagenomics through nanopore sequencing. Environmental DNA (eDNA) shotgun metagenomic sequencing is a promising method for detecting amphibian species in various habitats which allows for comprehensive biodiversity assessments by analyzing genetic material from environmental samples like water or soil. By addressing current challenges and refining the methodology, this approach could become a powerful tool for conservation efforts, providing valuable insights into amphibian populations and their habitats. This study highlights the importance of continued research and technological advancements to fully realize the capabilities of eDNA shotgun metagenomics in environmental biomonitoring.
