Bacterial primed consortia inoculation alters Arabidopsis root-associated microbiomes and Fusarium infection

The host-associated microbiota plays a crucial role in plant protection. While a huge potential exists for harnessing the microbiomes for sustainable crop protection, little work has been done so far in utilizing the host-associated microbiota. In this work, we studied the effect of host-derived and pathogen-derived bacterial consortia on Arabidopsis root-associated microbiomes. Our results show that host-derived bacterial consortia enriches beneficial microbial taxa and enhances microbial network structures, thus leading to the suppression of F. oxysporum.
