Pleiotropy in experimentally-evolved yeast clones

The goal of this project is to investigate the fitness costs and benefits for yeast associated with evolving in different laboratory environments, and the genetic changes underlying these pleiotropic effects. To address the latter goal, we sequenced 198 yeast clones evolved in 11 environmental conditions. This study is relevant to understanding the genomic patterns underlying the trade offs that create and maintain phenotypic diversity.
