资源简介:
Group of Seri Indians under a rough shelter, Tiburón Island, Sonora, Gulf of California, Mexico, 1936 March 27-28. Typical Seri home. Family clans hastily construct crude shelters. Nomadic in their habits, the family may move away to another area and return at another season causing clan wars. "Burning sands and blistering sun on the scorched desert reaches of Tiburón Island sometimes drive the hardy Seris to erect flimsy jacales like that above." -- De Witt Meredith and Allan Hancock. Voyages of the Velero III ([s.l.]: G. Allan Hancock, 1939), p. 162. Original negative container gives location as Cartago, Albermarle Island, Galapagos.
