Missanabie Cree First Nation (MCFN) has developed a monitoring project in partnership with the Nordik Institute. The Water Guardian employed by MCFN will be going out monthly to gather data from 5 selected locations within and around the traditional territories of the First Nation. Two of the locations will be on Dog Lake, one on Eskay Lake, one on Hawk Lake and the last one at the Michipicoten River Mouth. Data will be collected using Water Rangers fresh water test kits.
