The branching is an important trait for controlling the architecture of Chinese flowering cabbage. Gibberellins are growth phytohormones that regulate branching and promote stem elongation in plants. We obtained a DH line designated CX020 showed a multi-branched (MB) phenotype isolated by microspore culture in Chinese flowering cabbage. After application of 600 mg/L GA3 on MB, the number of primary rosette branching was significantly decreased, however, the regulatory mechanisms were not well known. RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) and metabolic profiling were performed to analyse controlling the genes responding for the GA regulation of branching architecture and hormone content changes in MB and MB_GA (exogenous application of GA3 on MB).
