Pan-tissue analysis of allelic alternative polyadenylation

In this study, alternative polyadenylation (APA) patterns were globally characterized across various tissues in the F1 hybrid of the two mouse inbred strains C57BL/6J and SPRET/EiJ, belonging to the closely related species Mus musculus (house mouse) and Mus spretus (Algerian mouse), respectively. Tissues including cortex, cerebellum, heart, lung, liver, spleen, kidney and muscle were obtained from three adult F1 hybrid mice. QuantSeq 3' mRNA-Seq Library Prep Kit REV for Illumina (Lexogen) was used to sequence the 3' end of RNA with polyA tail. All libraries were sequenced in paired-end 2 × 151 nt format on an Illumina HiSeq X Ten machine.
