Genome sequencing and assembly of six isolates of Phytophthora capsici. Phytophthora capsici

Phytophthora capsici is an oomycete plant pathogen with a wide range of hosts. Worldwide is known for causes the principal disease in chili pepper crops. With the goal of expanding the available genome databases and mapping RxLR and CRN effector genes, we used Illumina sequencing to assemble genomes of six isolates of P. capsici from Mexico.
