The objective of this study was to investigate and characterize the bacterial communities of on-host I. granulatus using high throughput Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). A total of nine female I. granulatus ticks collected from different recreational areas in Peninsular Malaysia were subjected to metabarcoding of 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) NGS analysis.
