ROMS simulations at 1km horizontal resolution of the northern Gulf of Mexico with Lagrangian deployments to simulate deep-sea coral larvae connectivity

Simulations were performed to explore larval connectivity in deep-sea black coral using Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) simulations at 1km horizontal resolution with 40 vertical layers. Lagrangian tracers (simulating coral larvae) deployed in correspondence of 4 sites where data were collected by Iliana Baums group. Analysis was performed to compare connectivity from genetic analysis with model connectivity for the tracers.
