Changes in gut microbiome composition were assessed during experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a mouse model of multiple sclerosis (MS). Fecal samples were collected at 5 time points spanning pre- and post-immunization with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein amino acids 35-55 (MOG35-55) in untreated and vancomycin treated C57BL/6J mice. Variable region 4 (V4) of the bacterial 16S rRNA was sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq sequencer.
