Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.
The collection of data in these studies is part of a larger study on the decline of the Scottish cotton industry. The primary aim of the project was to answer questions regarding the causality and chronology of decline in the cotton industry. Further, to distinguish the marital status of the female workers and to draw links between household structure and factory work.
Main Topics:

Names; addresses; age; sex; occupation; place of birth; relation to head of household, marital status.
There are three files in the dataset.
