*Overweight (OW) and obese (O) children were defined following the gender- and age-specific cut-off points by Cole et Al[15]Lung function data and personal exposures are presented as concerns non overweight-obese (non OW-O), overweight* (OW), and obese* (O) subjects. Differences in FVC, FEV1, FEF25–75% (as percent of predicted), FEV1/FVC%, and FEF25–75%/FVC (as absolute percent) between males and females were evaluated by means of one-way ANOVA.
