Soil microorganism community on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Microorganisms are one of the main components of ecosystems. Soil microorgan-isms play a crucial role in mediating biogeochemical cycles, primary production, and the breakdown of apoplastic matter to preserve soil fertility and stabilize soil carbon and nitrogen pools. The cores were sectioned physically as follows: 0-15 cm, 15-30 cm, 30-45 cm, 45-60 cm, 60-80 cm (correspond to L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 respectively).
