Pulse Crop Database

Although there is wealth of legume genetic research information in North America and throughout the world, there is still a need for a system that can organize, filter and provide analysis on the available research to be directly applied in breeding programs. The Pulse Crop Database (formerly the Cool Season Food Legume Crop Database) is being developed to serve as a resource for Genomics-Assisted Breeding (GAB). GAB offers tools to identify genes related to traits of interest among other methods to optimize plant breeding efficiency and research, by providing relevant genomic, genetic and breeding information and analysis.

尽管北美及全球范围内已积累了海量豆科作物遗传研究资料，但目前仍亟需一套可对现有研究成果进行整理、筛选并提供分析的系统，以直接应用于育种项目。目前正在开发的食用豆作物数据库（Pulse Crop Database，前身为凉季食用豆科作物数据库（Cool Season Food Legume Crop Database）），旨在为基因组辅助育种（Genomics-Assisted Breeding，GAB）提供支撑资源。基因组辅助育种可通过提供相关基因组学、遗传学及育种相关信息与分析，结合其他多种方法，挖掘目标性状相关基因，进而优化植物育种效率并提升研究水平。
