This series contains patient admission and discharge information for Plenty Hospital (VA 5091) as well as information regarding transfers, leaves and deaths. The cards contain biographical information about the patient, a diagnosis, probable cause of disorder, next of kin, and attending physician's description of the patient in admission. Some cards also include information about previous admissions to other institutions. It is possible that the cards may have moved with patients to different locations although further research is required to determine if this was the case.It is not known why these records were kept alongside Plenty Hospital's official Admission and Discharge Registers. Further research is required to determine whether this series pertains to a specific ward of the hospital.
