NRS-21137 | Indexes to Conditional Purchases [Maitland Land Board Office]

This alphabetical index refers to entries in the 'Register of Conditional Purchases' (1) If the name of the owner only is known, the index can be consulted, and from this will be obtained the land district and number of lease. By knowing the land district the correct register can be found, by knowing the conditional purchase number the register can then be consulted.AB324 covers the period of 1886-1904 and refers to all land districts overseen by the Maitland Land Board Office,  AB325 refers to the area of Port Macquarie for the years 1885-1911.Department of Lands circular 12/1935 states that by 31 December 1935 bound registers should be replaced by a card system.
