资源简介:
These Estimates of Inter-Jurisdictional Employment (EIJE) provide background from 2002 to 2014 on inter-jurisdictional employees (IJEs) in Canada, ie. employees aged 18 or older who maintain a permanent residence in a given province/territory while reporting earnings of at least $1000 (in 2016 constant dollars) from another province/territory. They are based on the Canadian Employer-Employee Dynamics Database (CEEDD), a set of linkable files developed and maintained by the Social Analysis and Modelling Division (SAMD) at Statistics Canada. Key components of CEEDD used in generating the EIJE include: T1 Personal Master File (PMF), which provides information on the demographic and financial characteristics of individuals; T1 Historical Personal Master File (T1H) , an administrative data file comprised of annual personal income tax returns, which includes information from T1 late and re-assessed taxfilers. As IJEs may be more likely to file late due to the mobile nature of their work, this file is of high importance to the project; T4 Statement of Remuneration, which provides job-level information including province of employment, employment income, employment insurance premiums, pension adjustment amounts, and union dues; Longitudinal Employment Analysis Program, or LEAP, which provides information on employment, annual payroll, and industry for all incorporated and unincorporated business enterprises in Canada that have paid at least one employee. Major variables assessed include IJE counts/earnings per year, from 2002 to 2014, by industry of employment, province/territory of residence, province/territory of employment, and age-group.
