Ireland had the highest number of new residential properties whose construction started in 2023 per thousand citizens in Europe. Approximately 6.21 new residences were being constructed per 1,000 citizens in Ireland in 2023. Serbia ranked second with 5.79 new residential properties under construction for every thousand citizens, followed by Austria with 5.11 new residential constructions for every one thousand citizens.
