FWB – Grant Cadastre 2021

Foreword:

Please read the following carefully:

The total amount of the cadastre can be found in the tab “Table”.

The data are not in the format “one line = a grant”

. Due to certain constraints when consolidating data, each line represents a grant tranche paid in 2021. This means that a single grant paid in three instalments (e.g.)
will correspond to three rows in the table.

Negative amounts correspond to reimbursements from beneficiaries. For the NEB, the negative amounts mainly result from transfers between articles
budget of the same nature, namely “Home Grants” between the private sector B632.10 & public B632.11. They could not group the calculations for these few lines due to lack of time.

Outside the Tableau module, the display on the site has certain limitations:

For postal codes: not all of them are in the list proposed in the “Filters” field because of their large number. This field shows only the 100 postal codes that contain
the largest number of grants.

Similarly, for the “bubbles” in the “Map” tab, only the information of the first 100 grants (from the highest amount) can be shown. Example: the
commune “X” has 750 grants. By clicking on the tooltip, information about (among others) the beneficiary and the grant amount is displayed. We can only review the first 100
grants.

This does not mean that the subsidy does not exist. The information is in the main table, where you can isolate different data by means of the filters (on the left of the screen) and
sortings (in the column headings of the table).

You can also export all data in various formats through the “Export” tab, for consultation, statistics or analysis purposes.

Grant Cadastre:

The transparency of the grants awarded by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is one of the Government’s priorities.

On 18 January 2018, the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation adopted a

Decree establishing a grant cadastre in the French Community

.

This decree lists all the information related to the subsidies awarded in the French Community and which must be communicated in a report, including all the subsidies awarded between 1 January and
31 December of the previous year, which will be sent to Parliament on 15 June of the current year. The cadastre is put online in open data on the portal

www.odwb.be

within 15 calendar days of transmission of the report to Parliament.

The grant cadastre is part of a desire to ensure transparency in the award of subsidies paid by all the subsidising bodies under the Wallonia-Brussels Federation: the
Government, Ministers, Administration departments, including administrative services with self-accounting (SACA) and legal persons governed by public law created by or dependent on the French Community,
including the legal structures arising within the latter, when they award, from their own budget, grants financed in whole or in part by resources made available to them by the Community.

This cadastre includes the grants paid in the financial year 2021.

Reuse and use of data:

The beneficiary who reuses the data has the right to redistribute and reuse it, provided that it does not modify the data used and to mention as the author of the data the Ministry of the Federation.
