Images and Site Record Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at 410 - 418 Ilford Lane, Ilford, Greater London, July 2024

This collection consists of images and site record data from an archaeological evaluation by DRP Archaeology at 410-418 Ilford Lane, Essex, in July 2024. The results of the evaluation revealed three definite features cut into the natural and a potential layer, which could have been simply a lens within the natural. The features consisted of a pit, a posthole and a ditch, all of which were sampled but only one produced any finds, a single sherd of Medieval Haddingham Ware (12th-14th century) pottery within the pit. The majority of the site demonstrated a significant degree of modern disturbance, which had impacted the natural, although a solid geological sequence was preserved in places.
