Vegetation Productivity at Cape Bounty, Melville Island, NU: A high spatial resolution time series analysis with repeated field observations

This entry corresponds to the field data collected in 2017 that supports a longer term initiative to track vegetation changes at Cape Bounty, Nunavut. Greening trends have been observed at a coarse resolution across the circumpolar Arctic. However, vegetation cover and community type can vary over a finer spatial scale than many of the previous remote sensing studies have been conducted at. Thus, in the summer of 2017, field observations of cover estimation and field photos were repeated in plots established in 2004 and 2008. These were used with high spatial resolution imagery to investigate the change in vegetation productivity (as measured by greenness) by vegetation community type.
