Data and code for: A Seasonal Variability Index for Screening Distributed Wind Energy Potential at Tropical Monsoon Ports: Application to Five Vietnamese Commercial Ports

This repository contains the data and analysis code supporting the above study.The work characterises the seasonal nearshore wind resource at five Vietnamesecommercial ports using ten years of ERA5 reanalysis data (2015–2024), anddevelops the **Seasonal Variability Index (SVI)**, a dimensionless indicator ofmonsoon-driven seasonal asymmetry in wind energy availability. Everything here is derived from openly accessible datasets, so the full analysiscan be reproduced at no data cost.
