Pangolins have been found to carry SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses. The finding has sparked interest in the viromes of these heavily trafficked wild mammals. In this study, we performed viral metagenomic sequencing to explore the viromes of both confiscated dead pangolins and captive healthy pangolins.
