Policy Document Analysis on Tamil Nadu Agriculture Budget by Scheme, Policy Instruments and Behavioral Intends

This dataset contains information regarding the Tamil Nadu Agriculture Budget for the last three years. To extract and analyse the policies in a systematic way, the study used the READ approach, which stands for ready the material, extract the data, analyse the data, and distil the findings, respectively. The policies were examined using the systematic READ approach to document analysis. From the three years of agricultural budget, farm-based schemes were identified and analysed. For each policy announcement, the intended policy subjects or targets and associated policy instruments were identified to examine the fit of the policy design. Also, the implicit behaviour assumptions or intentions were traced according to the Anne Schneider and Helen Ingram (1990) study for each policy instrument. Additionally, the study observation was given in a separate column. The policy design fit has been classified into five scales: perfect fit, better fit, moderate fit, poor fit, and not a fit. Each design fit has its own conditions.
