<p>This data collection contains Area to Area Migration Flow Data on the county and Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA) geographical level for selected time periods between 1978 and 1994. The Area to Area Migration Flow Data were based on administrative records (income tax returns) from the Individual Master File (IMF) which includes a record for every form 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ Individual Income Tax return filed with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).</p>
