This data contains projected infrastructure information provided by the Public Works Department to improve road safety near schools. It contains completed or proposed locations of pedestrian flashing beacons, radar feedback, retro-reflective backplates, raised medians, missing ADA ramps, missing sidewalks, and intersection improvements. This map also includes an ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Spending boundary and TCC (Transformative Climate Communities) Round 5 Project boundary. The ARPA Spending area was data obtained from Low-income or Disadvantaged Communities Designated by California and then clipped with Bakersfield's city limits.
