Assessing the Relationship between Ceiling Height and Emotional Response in Art Galleries through Editable 360-Degree VR Panoramic Scenes

This study investigates the relationship between ceiling height and emotional responses in art galleries<br> using editable 360-degree VR panoramic scenes. Although prior research has explored the influence of<br> spatial dimensions on human emotions, little attention has been given to the specific impact of ceiling<br> height in art gallery settings. Our study employed an experimental design, presenting participants with<br> virtual art gallery environments with varying ceiling heights, and assessed their emotional responses<br> through self-report measures. The findings indicate that ceiling height significantly affects specific<br> emotions, such as disgust and joy, while the influence on other emotions, like fear, anger, sadness,<br> and surprise, is less evident.
