资源简介:
This project aims to characterise the effects of a high-fat diet and fructo-oligosaccharides on the gut microbiota throughout the gastrointestinal tract of mice. Mice were fed either a chow diet or a high fat diet containing 60% energy from lipids for 15 weeks. Half of the mice fed a high fat diet were supplemented with 10 % weight/vol fructo-oligosacchrides (FOS, Orafti P95) in drinking water. DNA from jejunal, ileal and ceacal luminal content as well as from feces was extracted using a modified version of Godon et al protocol. Samples were sequenced using long-read Nanopore technology.
