Our work is devoted to the Solenoe lake of Western Siberia [Bryanskaya A.V., Shipova A.A., Rozanov A.S., Volkova O.A., Lazareva E.V., Taran O.P., Uvarova Y.E., Goryachkovskaya T.N., Peltek S.E. In this work we studied the microorganisms diversity of Solenoe lake in the microbial mate, the upper layer and deposited in the thickness of bottom by metagenomics methods. Such a detailed study of the microbial diversity of the Novosibirsk region lake ecosystem was carried out for the first time. The purpose of our work was to assess the metabolic potential of a given lake ecosystem based on species composition and gene and enzyme sequences found in the community using the NGS technology. We revealed the entire spectrum of archaea, bacteria and cyanobacteria of the Solenoe lake, Novosibirsk region, Russia. This study is a source of new raw data for investigation of metabolic pathways and processes occurring in this unique salt lake.
