This study explores how cultural, familial, and societal influences shape the education and career choices of young Chinese immigrants in Australia, known as 1.5 Generation Young Australian Chinese Immigrants (1.5 GYACIs). These individuals, who migrated to Australia during childhood or adolescence, must navigate both their Chinese heritage and Australian cultural norms. The research highlights how parental expectations, family dynamics, and peer relationships impact their academic and career decisions.
